However, the Buick Envision gets green light and enters production. For the first time, it is offered as 2015 model, and only for Chinese customers. Buyers on the US market, there are two gasoline engines available. As a base, there is a 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder SIDI unit. In standard form, this engine comes with the FWD propulsion system. As such, it delivers 197 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. The average fuel consumption is 29 mp/hwy.

As an optional powertrain, the 2.0-liter Ecotec turbocharged unit is available. This engine delivers 252 horsepower, with a maximum torque of 260 lb-ft. Also, All-Wheel Drive with Active Twin Clutch is also available. With this engine, the 2018 Buick Envision gets up to 60 mph in about 8 seconds.

The evolution of the model, compared to its predecessors, is the possibility of offering a hybrid version of the model. This information has not been officially confirmed, but there are rumors of such a possibility. These sources mention a hybrid propulsion system, which would be a petrol engine with about 170 horsepower, with two electric motors.


The base version of the model is available at a price of $ 34,065. The top offer is 2018 Buick Envision Premium II model, which costs $ 44,960. The rest of the offer is Prefered FWD version at a price of $ 35,870, as well as Essence FWD which costs $ 37,720. Versions with AWD have a higher price of around $ 2,000.
